The Teaching of the Inner Christ (T.I.C.) is a non-profit, non-denominational spiritual Teaching which helps you to contact and experience your True Self, your God Center, your "Christ Self" within, which is your own individual inner spiritual identity.
We believe that everyone has many inner spiritual identities, living life on many different levels of vibration and consciousness simultaneously. When we are aware of who we truly are as a multi-leveled spiritual being, we are more fully able to express ourselves and to fulfill our deep desires.
When you make the connection with your Inner Christ, you will receive your true inner spiritual name and a unique "vibrational signal" that confirms this. This name and signal are your two most important "safeguards" in channeling extended knowledge and guidance accurately. We do not give these to you they emerge spontaneously from deep within you. T.I.C. furnishes the climate for this to happen.
We also believe that we create our lives through our choices and beliefs. Therefore, we teach how to transform fear into faith, apparent illness into health and a sense of failure into success and confidence through the effective use of "scientific prayer", positive affirmations and the healing of negative thoughts and beliefs. When we know how to heal ourselves and to receive our own perfect guidance from within, we then know our own Self-Authority which is the key to personal happiness and self fulfillment. [top]

Ann Porter Remington (now known as Rev. Ann Meyer Makeever, D.D.) was born in Fargo, North Dakota in 1916 and spent her childhood with her parents and three brothers in Moorhead, Minnesota. She owned her first Bible at the young age of ten and studied it by herself diligently for many years, scribbling her own notes and revelations in the margins. She was musically talented as well as intellectually advanced and after skipping two grades, entered Coker College (Hartsville, South Carolina) at the age of 16 to study piano, voice and her primary love -- composition. She became an accomplished musician and composer, and, after graduation and marriage, established herself in New York City as an opera singer. Ann had heard of a marvelous teacher in New York by the name of Emmet Fox (well-known speaker and author). She traveled by train from the suburbs every Wednesday to Carnegie Hall to hear him speak of the powerful principles of New Thought.
After giving birth to four children, she and her husband William F. Rosser moved the family to San Diego in 1954 where she starred in operettas presented by Starlight Opera, as well as performed as soloist in several churches and synagogues, one of which was the San Diego Church of Religious Science.
Having been spiritually aware all of her life and interested in metaphysics, she later completed all of the course work and became a licensed Religious Science Practitioner in 1960. William and she parted ways as she pursued a new and dedicated path to a deeper understanding of God within her and what was to become her ministry.
About this time, she began to experience strange and powerful spiritual phenomena (which is fully described in her last book "Who Is With Me?") and on October 19, 1962, she was visited by the Yogi Master Babaji, in physical form. He sat beside her during a symphony concert, appearing as a normal man, but through many paranormal events that evening, he awakened her to a revelutionary new teaching that everyone is a unique individual Christ, after the example of Jesus. Babaji had opened a "Power Door" from the vibration of Spirit down to the vibration of earth. Ann realized at that moment that this was the purpose for which she was born -- to bring through this brand new Teaching and to give it to others so that all may grow in awareness of their own Christhood.
In 1963 she married Peter Meyer and together as husband and wife, they formed "Society for the Teaching of the Inner Christ" in 1966. They both had separately been experiencing inner teaching and guidance from Babaji for years. And so they, through channeling from Babaji and Jesus and other masters including their own Inner Christ Selves, developed a curriculum and began teaching others to contact their own Inner Christ Selves. At present, thousands of students all over the world have healed themselves and enriched their lives through taking the T.I.C. courses.
In 1978, with her own unique vision for the Teaching, Ann withdrew from the first corporation and formed the present organization called "Teaching of the Inner Christ, Inc.".
Dr. Makeever is the author of the textbooks of the Teaching of the Inner Christ, Inc. - Being A Christ! (co-authored with Dr. Peter Meyer), Self Master In the Christ Consciousness, and Ten Lessons In Woman Awareness. She was ordained in 1966 and earned the Degree of Doctor of Divinity in 1969.
Her life story and her experience of
Babaji and the many spiritual Masters can be found in her book "Who Is
With Me?" which is available at all T.I.C. Centers (see locations) as well
as in the website Store. At
the age of 91, Rev. Ann Makeever passed on to the next phase of her glorious
mission on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 4, 2007.

History of Teaching of the Inner Christ, Inc
The Teaching of the Inner Christ, Inc. (T.I.C., Inc.) was established over forty years ago in San Diego, California. It was first incorporated in 1966 by its founders, Rev. Ann Meyer Makeever, D.D. and Rev. Peter V. Meyer, D.D.. (See "The Founder" in this site.)
The origin of the Teaching itself is rare and compelling. In 1962, Ann, who was then a prominent singer and mother of four, was contacted by the Yogi Master Babaji who appeared to her in physical form and fed into her mind in many paranormal and mystical ways, a new "Jesus Teaching for the New Age". The premise of this Teaching is that everyone is a Christ. Jesus was the example of the Christ on the earth and likewise everyone has a unique Christ Self within, who is their true and perfect identity.
In 1966 Ann and Peter incorporated "Society for the Teaching of the Inner Christ". Separately, they both had been spiritually taught and guided by Babaji within their own minds for many years. Once together, through channeling and meditation, they received and then formulated the present T.I.C. curriculum, which helps others to contact their own Inner Christs.
Ann's and Peter's experiences of spiritual phenomenon was unbelievable and yet completely genuine. Over time and through outer proof, they learned to trust that this new Teaching would one day change the thinking of the world about the true nature of the human experience.
As the Teaching of the Inner Christ spread and established branch Centers in many other cities, students attested to the rare and powerful spiritual experiences they were sharing and how completely their lives were being changed for the better, through contacting their Inner Christ and learning the power of prayer.
In 1977, with her own vision for the future of this Teaching, Ann withdrew from the first corporation, and established the current organization called "Teaching of the Inner Christ, Inc", which has branch Centers in Salt Lake City, Utah, Long Beach, California, and Las Vegas Nevada, as well as smaller groups in other cities. (See "Locations" in this site.)
T.I.C., Inc. is a non-profit 501C-3 California corporation with state authorization to license and ordain counselors and ministers, as well as grant teaching certification and degrees. It's curriculum and leadership training qualify students for Bachelor of Ministerial Science, Master of Ministerial Science and Doctor of Divinity. (See Courses in this site.)
T.I.C., Inc. is governed by its Policies and Procedures, which is a document written by the founding board to preserve not only the purity of the Teaching itself, but its organizational structure and the quality of its teacher training. These Policies and Procedures are carried out by the International Executive Board of the Teaching which consists of ordained ministers.
All activities, classes, events, literature, textbooks and practices of T.I.C. at every location are supervised and standardized through the Policies and Procedures, to ensure that future generations of students receive the pure and complete Teaching that was originally given to its founders by Babaji and Jesus.
The central mission of the Teaching of the Inner Christ, Inc. is to offer the complete Teaching to students through its curriculum, as each course builds upon the one before it, with the goal being that each student might know their Inner Christ by name and signal, know how to heal themselves, to manifest a more satisfying and productive life, to experience their true and perfect God nature, and to know and fulfill their unique purpose on the earth in this lifetime.
This Teaching is for everyone who desires a better life. It is not limited to any particular religious faith or nationality or race or gender or church membership. All are welcome to come and learn and become more self aware. And in this new understanding, all can become more Christ-like in their everyday life, no matter the religion, nationality, ethnicity or gender. There is only one God. And all are welcome here.
